VICE x Team Based in our London office, the Finance department is a newly centralised shared services team for EMEA who play a busy and vital role within the VICE Media Group. Role x You As our Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the monthly management accounts for our Norway, Denmark and Sweden entities, including cost accruals, accrued/deferred revenue and associated journals at month end. You will be supporting our Nordic Controller who is based in London. Responsibilities * Produce the monthly management accounts for our Nordic entities including cost accruals, accrued/ deferred revenue & associated journals at month end * Produce and submit monthly/quarterly reporting within deadlines to EMEA Regional Team including detailed analysis and commentary on variances * Client and Project Accounting; this includes review, set up and activation of projects in NetSuite. Liaise with Project managers and FP&A for calculation of revenue/cost estimates by project for Month Close, including supporting information needed * Lead monthly revenue/expense recognition, working closely with the Nordic Controller * Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including deferred revenue/expenses, payroll, other liabilities GL's etc * Support with Monthly / Quarterly Compliance Requirements with external Authorities, for example, VAT returns, Statistics * Support the Nordic Controller & HR with any Payroll / Pension Compliance * Reviewing and approving weekly payment runs * Weekly cash flow submission, liaising with the Accounts Payable and Receivables team. Ensure Nordic bank accounts are funded for salary and other payroll outgoings * Maintenance of intercompany loan schedule with other group entities * Fixed Assets Ledger maintenance, including review of system depreciation calculations, impairment testing, disposals and reporting * Support the Nordic Controller in delivering the year-end audit (Group & Statutory) for the Nordic entities Experience * You are a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 3+ years of PQE experience in management accounting and financial analysis (production accounting is a plus) * Ideally, you would have worked in production or the digital media sector * You have the ability to business partner and communicate with finance & non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately * You possess strong Excel and system skills You'll have these * You will need to be highly organised, meticulous, hands-on and detail oriented. * A team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach who takes initiative where needed * You are able to work to tight deadlines; working effectively under pressure * Netsuite/Salesforce/Concur experience is a bonus * Fluent verbal and written Danish language skills * Local GAAP knowledge is a must We'd also love if you had these: * Ability to analyze and make recommendations to improve internal processes * Experience in rapidly changing, global business, with a wide range of goods and services under management Working at VICE VICE prioritises the ideas and people that other media companies miss.
