The Marketing function drives the innovation, development and delivery of our propositions to our adviser, employer and customer audiences and is responsible for: The end customer proposition and ensuring that AUK delivers a compelling customer promise and proposition in line with its strategy The Aegon brand in the UK and the design, development, planning, delivery and evaluation of all strategic and tactical communications activity Having a clear retention strategy which meets the needs of the customers Aegon serves Ensuring that Aegon delivers good customer outcomes and treats customers fairly. The Digital function sets the digital vision for AEGON UK and creates the strategy to execute that vision. It drives the user experience (UX) design of the digital estate. This team provides the direction and strategic expertise required to deliver a brilliant, efficient and effective digital experience across all channels. The Marketing department is split across different locations in the UK, so travel may be required from time to time.Job Description We're looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our UX team who will work collaboratively to establish, evolve, maintain and document our Design System. The role will require effective partnership with other UI/UX Designers, Design Engineers, Product Management and User Research. Responsibilities: * Work with product managers, designers and engineers to maintain UI/UX consistency in projects * Help define the core elements to establish and maintain our Design System (specifying UX, visual, interaction and motion elements as well as documenting behaviours and usage guidelines) * Cultivate internal knowledge around the Design System by being a subject matter expert * Collaborate with Design Engineers to QA the patterns they build in code * Maintain Design System stickers and libraries in Figma * Prototype the visual evolution of the system Skills and knowledge needed: * Ability to think in terms of systems, connecting and making relationships across multiple teams and experiences * Mastery in Figma preferable, but use of similar tools to create Design Systems is also welcomed (Sketch, DSM, Adobe XD) * Experienced, detail-orientated designer with strong knowledge of interaction and visual design as well as familiarity with information architecture * Familiarity with relevant front-end technologies(HTML/CSS/Javascript) and their affordances and limitations (preferable) * Experience applying Accessibility best practices (WCAG) * Experience working in the full lifecycle of Lean/Agile delivery model * Passion for designing digital products and experiences * Self disciplined, self motivating and self improving * Effectively communicate and present complex conceptual thinking visually and verbally Qualifications * 4+ years experience in UX design for digital products * 2+ years experience designing products using a Design System * Degree level qualification in a relevant subject. * Digital portfolio for review Additional Job Description Equal Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age
