Job Description

Summary The Governance and Document Control team creates and maintains mandatory communications and assets for products and services across all audiences and channels. The role is to efficiently produce compliant mandatory collateral, maintain existing communications and support distribution of communications to relevant audiences. It also involves working with the stakeholder process to ensure content and documentation remains in approval and available on websites. Aiming to improve content and reduce unnecessary or out of date items.Job Description Key Tasks: Plan, develop, update and deliver marketing communications projects collateral of a technical, legal or regulatory nature within agreed timescales and budgets. Manage 'offtimes', the process to ensure documents and web content remain approved and available on the Aegon web estate. Focusing not only on ensuring items are approved but helping to improve content and reduce unnecessary or out of date items. Write copy and develop layouts that adhere to our brand standards. Identify the most appropriate media on which to deliver a communication, supporting Aegon's drive to digital delivery and balancing this with legal requirements and customer needs. Work in cross-functional teams to implement marketing communications plans for mandatory projects. Deliver marketing communications within agreed timescales and budget, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress, any issues or risks. Review, analyse and report back results on any delivered marketing communications to all key stakeholders along with recommendations for future activity. Ongoing maintenance of all mandatory marketing material that supports the overall communications strategy. This includes the effective and economical management of print purchases, avoiding unnecessary waste, transport, postage, collation and storage costs. Develop project plans and delivery schedules. Represent the team on relevant committees and stakeholder groups Skills: * Good copywriting skills and verbal communication skills * Proven interpersonal skills to manage tasks successfully, especially in relation to resolving barriers to achieving project aims * Experience in participating in teams at varying levels * Proactive, initiative-led and flexible approach to work * Highly organised * Excellent attention to detail Knowledge: * Good knowledge of information architecture * Good knowledge of accessibility standards (online and offline) * Good understanding of copy writing techniques for different media, particularly digital media * Knowledge of the financial services industry and our key competitors * Awareness of the compliance and regulatory impacts on financial promotions * Understanding of all the markets that Aegon operates in, including awareness of legislative and regulatory issues affecting these Experience: * Experience of working in a regulated or technical environment * Experience of working in a marketing communications role producing technical, legal or regulatory communications * Experience of working with creative brand guidelines * Experience of working in cross-functional teams Additional Job Description Equal Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age
