Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Orthotic Technician to join the in-house orthotic department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The workshop is based at the Queens campus and is one of the leading NHS manufacturing units, providing a full range of contemporary custom made orthotic devices with a dedicated CADCAM facility for insole manufacture. The orthotics department aims to provide the most efficient and effective care to patients, to set new standards in orthotic treatment and to constantly improve to meet the demands of our users and commissioners. The department consists of 9 Orthotists, 6 Technicians and 6 Administrators across 2 sites treating patients across Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas. The Trust is home to one of the leading spinal centres and is the regional major trauma centre leading to diverse patient needs. The successful candidate will need to have experience of manufacturing a wide range of orthotic devices, and have or be working towards a relevant rehabilitation engineering qualification We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled technician after a new challenge in a friendly and forward thinking department.
