Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity based within the NUH Pharmacy Clinical Trials dispensary at the QMC Campus. Working within procedures and under supervision of the lead technical staff, you will provide technical support for the interpretation, dispensing and checking of all clinical trials prescriptions (after completion of training and validation in accuracy checking if necessary) and assist in stock control and related issues for all trial medicines including ordering and receipt, monitoring of stock levels and expiry dates and ensuring appropriate storage conditions. You will be an enthusiastic and adaptable team player. The role requires good written and verbal communication skills, along with close attention to detail. There will be close liaison with other members of the Pharmacy Clinical Trials team and Pharmacy Family Health team, in addition to interaction with Trust and University of Nottingham research staff and representatives from pharmaceutical companies who sponsor clinical research conducted within the Trust. You must have post qualification hospital pharmacy experience and previous experience of clinical trials would be an advantage, but is not essential, as training and support will be provided. Occasional cross campus working may be required to support the NUH Pharmacy Clinical Trials service.
