Trauma & Orthopaedic Clinical Fellow (Equivalent to CT1/2 level) 12 months Fixed Term Contract) Applications are invited for an enthusiastic candidate for a Clinical Fellow post (equivalent to CT1/2 level), to join University College Hospital's world class Trauma and Orthopaedic team. University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) will be increasing surgical services in 2020 as part of our continued vision to deliver top-quality patient care, excellent education and world-class research. Currently UCLH provide first-class acute and specialist services across eight sites and will be opening a new hospital providing surgical services in the Autumn of 2020. Additional support is required to staff this new site and the services on offer; therefore we are seeking applicants to the post/s of Trauma & Orthopaedic Clinical Fellow to support our current staffing structure for this exciting new hospital at UCLH. The trauma and orthopaedic service at University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a busy department, led by 15 consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. As one of our valued Trauma and Orthopaedic juniors you will be supported these consultants, in addition to a team of 11 registrars. The post will provide training opportunities in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery including traumatic and non-traumatic orthopaedic conditions. The successful candidates will join the SHO rota with timetabled operating and outpatient sessions. You must have a minimum of 6 months NHS experience to apply. Experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics is preferred but not essential. The on-call rota is a full shift system to cover the Orthopaedic admissions. All Trust Doctors participate in the shift system and it attracts a banding supplement of 1B.
