Job Description
Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are transforming Adult Community Services, delivering a new and innovative Enhanced Primary Care Service to people in the Cheshunt area. Our Enhanced service will join with existing primary and secondary care services, working in partnership with both, to ensure a great needs led pathway is available for people in the Cheshunt area. Are you looking for the next challenge in your Occupational Therapy career? Have you worked as a band 4 Assistant Therapy Practitioner (ATP) within OT, and mental health services for a number of years? Would you like to take the next step up? Ideally you will have worked in numerous settings within mental health, including community. With significant training under your belt you will have experience of working independently and providing specialist interventions. Managing a caseload and area of work, you will organise and run groups, teach others, facilitate training sessions, and report on your area of work through audits/evaluations. We are looking for staff who are flexible with a 'can-do' attitude, thriving on a high volume of work. You will be supported by a band 6 specialist Occupational Therapist and be based within our new Enhanced Primary Mental Health Care Service. To provide the skills and confidence required to manage these mental health needs appropriately we will train our workforce in coaching skills, solution focused questioning, motivational interviewing and a holistic approach to understanding people's needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a developing service, using new pathways that are needs led. Our new workforce will work closely with service users and carers, using continuous quality improvement tools to shape the service in the coming months. The role requires our staff to be confident, flexible and dynamic in their approach to their work with a positive outlook to working within a fast paced environment. You will be a good team player. In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of 1,034 and a maximum payment of 1,791 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
