Network Engineer
Overview
Job Description
Reporting to the Bank IT Network Services Manager, the Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will be part of the IT Shared Services Network Engineering Team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs). Key Responsibilities: * Configuration and support of various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, virtual private network (VPN) and quality of service (QoS) * Design, implement and support configuration changes inclusive of switch, router, Load Balancer and Firewall appliances * Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructures * Provide 2nd and third line support and troubleshooting to resolve issues * Support network incidents and changes out of hours including weekends * Participate in Network Team On-Call support * Manage documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, IT Controls, operational handovers, High and Low-Level designs, diagrams and knowledge articles * Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for support assistance and problem resolution
