Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Psychological Therapist for a 23 month project within NHS Dumfries & Galloway. NHS Education for Scotland has provided funding for early intervention work for children and young people to complement existing primary mental health work and primary care work across CAMHS and MH directorate. This post will be 23 months fixed term. Our service is seeking to appoint a Psychological Therapist to provide a high quality, accredited specialist CBT, or other single model, psychological therapy service in accordance with NHS protocols and the professional, ethical framework of relevant professional bodies such as the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (BABCP. The postholder will provide specialist psychological therapy for children and young people aged 0-18 with a broad range of complex problems and their families in the Dumfries & Galloway region. As well as individual client work, the post includes supervision, teaching and consultancy to other staff in the Health Board as may be required.
