Job Description

This is an opportunity to join an established team of Psychological Therapists working in GP practices and community venues providing a range of NICE compliant psychological therapies, including Step 3 high intensity psychological interventions. The service has a reputation for clinical excellence, innovation and collaborative working with secondary care and voluntary services. The multidisciplinary team consists of CBT Therapists, Primary Care Counsellors, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Administrators and Employment Advisors. The post holder will provide high intensity interventions to a range of adults with complex anxiety, depression and trauma-related problems. You will receive support, supervision and training from a Senior Psychological Therapist as well as in-service training to ensure your continued learning and development (CPD). Experience of working in Primary Care and having an interest in group work will be an advantage. Previous training in delivering supervision or experience of providing supervision will also be advantageous but not essential. There may be opportunities to develop specialist clinical interests in areas such as perinatal mental health and MBCT. As a Senior Psychological Therapist the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the service. We offer all of the NICE/IAPT recommended treatments at Step 3 for example IPT, EMDR, MBCT, DIT, couples counselling etc. We are working toward providing our patients with a service between 8am and 8pm, so you must be willing to work flexible hours. Due the COVID - 19 Pandemic we are currently only able to offer telephone, video and digital sessions, and to ensure social distancing measures in our bases you may be required to work remotely from home, for some or all of the week. IT equipment will be provided As a part of the coastal team, working out of the Chichester base, you must be willing and able to travel across the locality and throughout West Sussex as required.
