Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Locum Consultant Clinical or Medical Oncologist for one year fixed term contract to join the Oncology team at LNWUH to provide and develop Oncology services for patients with Upper GI, Urology & Acute Oncology Service. The post will be based at Northwick Park Hospital and link into Imperial College Healthcare Trust for radiotherapy services. The position is one year with a view to advertising a substantive post. London North West University Healthcare is one of the largest providers of cancer care in London. The Trust works in collaboration with Imperial College Healthcare and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre to provide comprehensive Oncology services. The Trust has ambitious plans to further develop the range cancer services provided, including oncology services, particularly AOS, exploring the opportunities of jointly providing radiotherapy services and further developing research and clinical trials. The successful applicant will join a team of Oncologists and Specialty Cancer Clinicians who are driving quality improvements in the provision of cancer care to ensure we continue to deliver the best outcomes and patient experience to our patients. Candidates must be on or eligible for the GMC specialist register, or be within 6 months of entry at time of interview.
