POSITION: Clinical Psychologist - Adults and Children (Self-Employed Associate) SALARY: Fees on sessional basis £50-70 per hour session, Specialised services such as Neuropsychological assessments and group training rates negotiable. BENEFITS: Becoming part of a dedicated team, Peer-supervision groups, and many other benefits (see below) HOURS: Self Employed Associate Agreement Flexible to Suit (4hrs - 16hrs per week) LOCATION: Location optional: Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Durham DESCRIPTION: JOB ROLE: Our client, Select Psychology are a team of Mental Health Professionals including Clinical Psychologists, CBT Therapists and Counsellors with satellite clinics offered across the North East of England including: * Tyne & Wear - Tynemouth (Main Clinic), Gosforth, Jesmond * Northumberland - Hexham * County Durham - Sacriston, (Durham) Select Psychology has exciting opportunities for experienced Clinical Psychologists (ideally working with Adults and Children) wishing to join the team as a self-employed associate with the option to work from any of the above locations. Applications are invited from those qualified clinicians with experience in the assessment and treatment of adults or children with a range of mental health issues. Those expressing interest can hold existing employment and/or self-employment within the public or private health sector. Many of the associates also work within the NHS or have done previously so this allows flexible working for those seeking to work privately within a supportive and dedicated service. Full details of the associate agreement can be discussed after initial applications have been received and our client makes contact with those most suited to joining as an associate. PURPOSE OF ASSOCIATE ROLE: To provide excellent quality mental health services to clients and to assist them to make positive changes in their lives. ASSOCIATE RESPONSIBILITIES * Deliver a range of assessments and treatments to clients with moderate to severe mental health problems. Responding promptly to referrals to undertake assessments and put in place an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant psychological interventions. * Facilitate individual therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files and clinical reports. * Be responsible for respecting patient confidentiality at all times and for security and accuracy of assigned patient records, data and information. * Keep abreast of latest research and development within your given field. * Evaluate, test and implement new techniques, methods and interventions which will improve and/or enhance therapy services within the company. QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCES AND ATTRIBUTES * Qualification as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist is an essential requirement of this role with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience. * Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration is required in order to become an associate, in addition to holding professional indemnity insurance for their practice. * Previous experience of working within an Adult Mental Health and/or Child Mental Health setting will be strongly favoured. * You are expected to have the clinical and interpersonal skills to independently deliver, to the level of excellence and influenced by relevant guidance and frameworks, psychological assessment and treatment in a variety of modalities. * You will be able to gain the trust of and build confidence in clients in order for treatments and interventions to be successful.
