Job Description

Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust is one of the largest hospital trusts in the country, hosting one of the largest living donor programmers in the UK. Due to promotion, we are looking for an experienced renal nurse to join the renal pre-transplant nursing team. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a case-load of patients undergoing evaluation for listing on the deceased donor transplant waiting list and will be expected to participate in a 24 hours on-call service accepting kidney offers. They will act as a lead specialist and will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service, providing specialist advice, education and support to health care professionals and patients. To apply for this post, you must be registered with the NMC and hold a post-registration renal and mentorship qualification. You will need to demonstrate that you can work autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team and have several years experience working in a variety of renal settings. Experience of recipient transplant work up is also essential.
