The Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Inventory Placement team. This is a global team of operations research scientists, economists, machine learning specialists, software developers, and product managers who lead the industry in the development of innovative algorithms and optimization strategies to maximize long term profitability of Amazon's Supply Chain. Amazon operates the most complex supply chain in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various transportation, product, tech, and finance teams to identify achieve cost reduction targets and improve our systems with SCOT. Key Responsibilities: Expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions Conduct cost-benefit and NPV analyses of products, programs, and features Develop and maintain key reporting metrics and build forecast models Partner across Operations, Product, and Tech teams to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance Drive variance analysis against budgets, identify risks and opportunities Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained
