Job Description
**The role is open for candidates from Mechelen Belgium, London UK and Dusseldorf, Germany.** **Position Purpose & Summary** The Finance Credits and Incentives ("C&I") Sub-Regional Lead will oversee the mobilization and implementation of C&I processes in selected countries across Cargill's current and future operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The C&I Sub-Regional Lead provides oversight and coordinates the stakeholders to gather information for initial analysis, partners with the experts to deep-dive in potential qualifying activities / investments, gets validation from Cargill experts for a given incentive (e.g. Tax if it is a tax credit, R&D if it's a research grant, etc.), and may play a role in the administration of the program once Cargill receives the incentive. The Sub-Regional Lead has strong project management and communication skills to coordinate across multiple projects, countries and Cargill businesses. This position will manage both internal and external resources in implementing the C&I processes and provide coordination in the identification and pursuit of incentive opportunities in across EMEA, with an initial focus in selected countries in Europe. The position will report to the Finance Global C&I Lead, and will assist the Global C&I Lead in the development of a systematic approach to improve our processes to grow Cargill's C&I portfolio across EMEA. Initially, there will be 3 positions and the workload and specialization will be balanced through a distinct sub-region (with corresponding language skills) and specialization (e.g. grant writing, R&D credit processes, sustainability credit processes). **Principal Accountabilities** _75% EMEA C&I Identification and Pursuit Oversight_ + Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure early identification of C&I opportunities, pursuit, and application strategy development and implementation, and coordinate with Tax and other Functions in post-approval compliance + Coordinate across functions and with external consultants to deliver exceptional C&I value to Businesses + Assist the Global C&I Lead with the development and implementation of standardized methodology, process and products in pursuing and reporting on C&I + Support internal and external resources in securing timely information across functions and within businesses + Track and report on C&I engagement progress and outcomes to relevant leadership + Facilitate obtaining required internal reviews and approvals to finalize tax and financial incentive agreements + Support knowledge transfer of secured credits and incentives agreements + Report to Finance Global C&I lead and other appropriate Cargill leadership on C&I value secured and realized + Work with cross functional partners to ensure appropriate accounting and allocation of C&I benefits _25% EMEA C&I Process Mobilization and Implementation Support_ + Assist in the mobilization and implementation of C&I processes + Help build awareness, obtain buy-in and communicate the value of the C&I process across Corporate Functions and Businesses + Manage C&I budget and timelines, including external consultants who may support the process development and implementation + Support the integration of C&I workstreams within the Project Development Planning (PDP) process and within other institutional systems + Report progress to Finance Global C&I Lead and other appropriate leadership + Continually improve the C&I processes **Minimum Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree or higher + 5+ years of experience in a relevant area (e.g. tax, finance, accounting, public policy, grant writing) + Understanding of tax and financial incentives + Proven project management and organizational experience, including ability to manage multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines + Strong written and verbal communications skills, including interaction with senior leaders + Demonstrates independent judgment and strong problem solving and decision-making skills + Ability to work across geographies and with culturally diverse teams + Ability to travel within Europe and across EMEA (up to 20% of the time) + Experience managing external consultant relationships + Ability to thrive, adapt, and prioritize in a changing and fast-paced environment + Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and proficiency in language for the respective sub-region (e.g. Dutch, Italian, Spanish, etc.) **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis in relation to organizational planning and initiatives, such as reviews of projects undergoing the Project Development Planning (PDP) approval process + Experience with and interest in public policy + Ability to build trusting relationships across Cargill functions, businesses, and geographies + Experience supporting change management, obtaining buy-in, and resolvi
