Job Description
SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST - Machine Learning / Analytics (The interview process will take place over phone & video and on-boarding will be virtual with full-time remote working). This is an exciting opportunity for a big data and advanced analytics business who deliver insights through predictive analytics and machine learning approaches. The business is expanding, and they are looking for a Senior Data Scientist, reporting to a Data Science Team Leader, to join their team. Their team consists of a mix of backgrounds in complex domains such as life sciences, with skills across computing and statistics. You will develop analytical capabilities, predictive models and data processing pipelines that embed analytics and insights into their customer solutions. You will be working with a variety of customers on solutions that apply AI algorithms and satellite data, REST and GraphQL API's and big data research with analytics. Experience Required: -It is important you are an experienced Data Scientist with experience in a complexed domain such as life sciences, genetics or GIS -It is also important you understand one of the four areas below: *Recognition (natural language processing, text and other unstructured data) *Predictive analytics (including machine learning, data assimilation, modelling and statistics) *Patterns and anomalies, or *Goal-driven systems. -You will have proficiency in Python and common data processing and modelling libraries such as pandas and TensorFlow. R is a nice-to-have but not a requirement. -An appreciation of the Cloud (Azure, AWS, Google) and agile/DevOps environments. -You will be passionate, with a willingness to learn and innovate.
