Job Description

Glebe Court has been relocated to Blackheath Rise and has been re-furbished to a high specification, the service is currently exploring meeting the needs of other groups of vulnerable people alongside older people, for example older people with a Learning Difficulty. This we hope, will provide a rich and fulfilling home for residents and staff alike and provide great opportunities for development. At Glebe Court we offer 40 residents a new chapter of their lives; we keep our care homes smaller to provide a sense of homeliness and family. Our Care home provides a unique setting where our corridors and numerous lounges encourage movement, involvement and a sense of fun. Our residents can get a ticket, eat popcorn and take a trip down memory lane in our cinema room, or visit the on-site shop to name a few. Daily, residents can take part in meaningful activities with the purpose of enhancing quality of life and maintaining physical and mental well-being. Activities are designed to be creative and to stimulate thinking or memory, such as music, art, flower-arranging, chair exercise and walking. Other tasks support everyday living - folding washing and setting tables. Residents can also participate in organised activities from watching films to singing or enjoying shopping trips.
