Our global Research organization is built on five guiding principles: * Research Quality is our top priority * We cultivate and grow a world-class analyst team of specialists * Each Intelligence Service has unique, robust data as its foundation * Research planning is innovative at its core and fosters creative destruction * Commercial success is the ultimate goal of our research products and processes PURPOSE OF ROLE The Research Director's purpose is to lead a team of 6 analysts responsible for coverage of the digital consumer services markets. Also, to oversee creation of high-quality syndicated research deliverables and execution of successful consulting engagements whilst establishing sector research strategy and superior market positioning. As Research Director you will ensure the delivery of the following key objectives: * Annual research agendas and strategic plan for the sector​ * Delivery of research and consulting projects to time, quality, and cost​ * Authoring and curation of strategic thought leadership deliverables​ * Senior research manager sponsor role for consulting engagements​ * Sales and service support for key customers​ * Develop a team of influential, highly-motivated industry analysts​ * High-profile presentations to clients, industry conferences, and client events We're a global business of more than 600 colleagues, operating in 60 markets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The position of Research Director is one of great responsibility and accountability, including: * Development, review, and approval for DCS team research agendas and strategic plans​ * The ongoing development of TVA research teams and analysts​ * Allocation of analyst resources for optimal revenue growth and margin​ * Development and delivery of team-level research budget Other key responsibilities include: * Management of the digital consumer services (DCS) team, including the execution of research strategy for the Digital Consumer Platforms, Smart Home Services, Consumer AI and Addressable Consumer Devices Intelligence Services and related consumer surveys.​ * Development of a world-class high-performing team of industry analysts with in-depth market knowledge within specialized areas of research coverage. Development, engagement, and resourcing of colleagues.​ * Successful, on-time delivery of high-quality, highly relevant, and differentiated syndicated research products that adhere to an established research agenda and publication schedule.​ * Successful, on-time execution of consulting engagements to client specifications and quality expectations including the achievement of analyst consulting utilization targets at the individual and group level.​ * Proactive engagement with large clients and prospects to help drive new sales opportunities and role model the desired behavior to the DCS team. Focus on continuous improvement through regular solicitation of client and internal feedback.​ * Coordination of Informa Tech strategy for digital consumer-related topics, including collaboration and growth initiatives that leverage combined strengths in Research, Events, Media, and Training.​ * Partnering with Research Operations for the continuing evolution and refinement of research processes and methodologies to optimize quality, timeliness, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of research execution and delivery.​ * Outreach to industry stakeholders and influencers to boost the visibility and effective reach of the sector's research content, including optimal positioning of analysts as thought leaders.​ Key Internal Relationships: * Sales team members for account planning and support for client proposals and interactions​ * Product Management leads for the Consumer sector to design, maintain and evolve impactful, differentiated
