Chief Operating Officer- Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a globally renowned centre of excellence specialising in the care of children and young people with highly complex and rare illnesses and disabilities. Employing 5,000 staff, many of who are world leaders in their clinical specialisms, GOSH brings together the UK's widest range of children's health services on to one central London site. Along with the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, the Trust forms the UK's only academic biomedical research centre specialising in paediatrics. At an ambitious time in the Trust's ongoing development, we are now looking for a highly exceptional individual to join the Trust Board as Chief Operating Officer (COO). You will play a key strategic leadership role across the Trust as we continue to drive innovation and transformational change to ensure we deliver the ongoing efficiency and the highest levels of patient care and experience to the children and their families and carers from across London, the UK and internationally, within the setting of GOSH Always Values and inspired by our hospital's motto: The child first and always. You will bring outstanding operational leadership and influencing skills with the ability to forge effective working relationships across a wide set of internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve outstanding and high quality outcomes as well as provide challenge and hold to account. As COO, you will need to evidence well developed analytical and decision making skills, the ability to cope with complex and competing demands and work within a Board environment where you can contribute across all of the Trust's activities.
