We are delighted to have recently been rated "good" overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following the most recent comprehensive inspection of the organisation in October and November 2019. Our improved overall rating and ratings of "good" for being well led and "good" for our use of resources demonstrates the positive progress made, against a backdrop of an increase in attendances and admissions. While we have made progress in many areas, we know that there is still more to do. We are currently in the process of selecting a strategic partner to work with us on the design and implementation of the 'Delivering Excellence' framework. This will be our core operating model and forms the PHT approach to solidifying our improvement capability while embedding a Quality Management System within the organisation to support the next phase of our improvement. * As Estates & Facilities Director you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the complex Estates Strategy in the context of the PFI and growing demand for additional capacity alongside the development of the Trust's clinical services strategy, and will bring a strong strategic and commercial awareness together with innovative ideas to ensure our plans and strategy can support the service requirements and the ambition of the Trust. * You will lead on development of the Trust's Estates Strategy in conjunction with the overall clinical services strategy and estate strategic planning within and on behalf of PHT; and the procurement and project management of associated major projects. * You will be responsible for ensuring that Estates and Facilities Management (E&FM) Directorate and agenda adds value to the organisation; that a high quality of E&FM service is provided and that the contractual requirements associated with PFI and other outsourced services are met. * You will support the Strategic and Operational Estate Management including development of the estate strategy; management of property; land; property and building maintenance; space management; energy and utility management. Also lead on hard and soft Facilities Management (FM) including the retained estate and peripheral properties * Leading on sustainability and corporate social responsibility; and the achievement of the Trust's carbon reduction strategy and energy conservation targets. As Estates & Facilities Director you will lead on providing a safe, secure and high quality patient environment for the Trust and for other organisations with which the Trust has third party occupants through SLAs.
