Job Description

" David Ross Education Trust is looking to appoint a dynamic, proactive and driven Head of Estates and Capital Programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead strategic estates and facilities management across our academies - providing advice and guidance to the central executive team and academy Principals. Candidates must have significant and substantial experience of undertaking a similar role, preferably in an education setting. You will be a highly capable professional with thorough knowledge and experience of managing estates matters across a large, geographically disbursed, multi-site organisation. Who we're looking for We need a committed team player with excellent organisational skills - with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritise workload with high levels of drive and resilience. We are looking for someone with a corporate mind-set and strong leadership qualities - highly motivated and with the ability to work well under pressure, remaining calm in difficult situations and a flexible approach. The role is based at our head office in Loughborough with extensive travel across our academies. You will have: Relevant degree and professional status RICS, CIOB or RIBA or BIFM/IWFM membership. Health & Safety qualification eg IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety. Experience of estate planning, including estate strategy development, option appraisal, condition assessment and maintenance prioritisation. Experience and understanding of building systems, legislation and service requirements across a diverse portfolio. Experience of managing a team and setting and monitoring performance objectives. Experience of managing and delivering LTM programmes and of managing disposals and acquisitions. A track-record of the successful delivery of capital projects.
