About the job Having just completed our series B funding round and with exciting strategic partnerships in place with leading UK and global institutions, we are looking for an exceptional COO to join our team to drive operational excellence, together with a superb experience for our customers. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will take charge and develop the operational infrastructure of our company and product platform, ensuring we can delight customers at scale. Adopting a data-driven management framework, you will play a crucial integration role across all aspects of the business, while supporting the CEO with strategic projects and new initiatives. Your focus will be on integrating our new strategic partners, and scaling our sales, marketing, risk and technology teams to support fast growth and our evaluation of new products and expansion into new geographies. Your main charge will be over the Operations, Talent and People functions as well as cross-functional squads while your coordination and alignment work will see you working across the whole organisation. The impact you'll have You will drive our business operations to deliver against our ambitious expansion goals by planning and coordinating activities between key teams. Instilling and developing a culture of operating excellence and fostering an aligned, focused and productive environment within the company, while anticipating operational issues and resolving those proactively before they arise. You will play an integral role in our geographic expansion plans. Your direct areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: * Core operations of the business by managing a team of strong functional heads. Currently comprising of Payment Operations, IT and Facilities, Talent and People. * Major strategic and company priority areas, including ownership of cross-functional teams / squads. * Execution of these key initiatives, ensuring clarity of goals, staffing and alignment. * Organisational design, communication cadence and infrastructure to keep the company aligned. * Instilling a data-driven decision-making culture. Requirements You are an experienced COO and have worked in a scale up environment previously and understand what it takes to build a world class customer focused global Fintech. Your achievements and strengths include: A proven track record of leading and scaling high growth organisations Open-mindedness and ability to improve in response to constructive feedback Ability to work horizontally across multiple functional groups and in matrix team structures A desire to build agile and effective organisations Strong leadership capabilities and aspiration to excellence Background of being responsible for growing talent and people teams Experience coaching team members, including leaders of teams Communication with credibility and gravitas both internally and externally Previous experience of working in fintech is a bonus, but is not required Benefits We are a team of bright and talented people from different backgrounds and cultures, with different perspectives, skills and experiences, who work together to get things done.
