Network Security Designer
Overview
Job Description
Overview The purpose of this role is deliver design work to support client's many network security requirements. This should be done according to strict design standards, following control processes, and with absolutely minimal disruption to services. Responsibilities * Produce Security documentation - High Level Design, Low Level Design, implementation plans * Work with Projects and IP Designers to ensure a high standard of design * Work with internal and external customers, providing advice and support when required * Ensuring designs meet requirements relating to Architecture, Legal/Regulatory, Data Protection, and Security * Ensuring all documentation produced is peer reviewed and approved by Security Architects * Carry out smaller BAU activities, as required * Work with Support and Operational staff to minimise service disruption * Provide accurate Data Network Build Consultancy to approved projects * Supporting and initiating process improvement activities * Ensuring IP networks are correctly capacity, alarm and inventory managed on EOTS, HPOV, TACACS, CMDB and OPNET Qualifications Qualifications: * Qualified to CCSE * 5 years of experience in the areas of IP/Security build * Strong written and verbal communication skills required for presenting complex technical concepts * Good experience with Change Control processes * A strong understanding of IP and associated Protocols * Hands on experience with Checkpoint, Fortinet and Juniper security products * Basic project management skills Desirable * Ideally certified in Fortinet, Cisco or Juniper Security products * Understanding of Telecommunications Transmission Systems * Experience of working within a mobile network operator environment * Experience of working within a data network service provider environment
