Job Description

The University of Manchester invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher with experience in Neuropsychology, Clinical Neuroscience or Developmental Psychology for the IMI ConcePTION Project. ConcePTION is a collaborative project between European academics, pharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders to improve the investigation of fetal outcomes, including neurodevelopment, when there is an exposure to a medication in the womb. Joining Dr Bromley and the wider ConcePTION team you will work on a series of interconnected projects looking at current investigational techniques, through to the design and trialing of new protocols which will allow for improved collection of neurodevelopmental data in children exposed to medications in utero. We are looking for an individual with PhD in neuropsychology, neuroscience, child/developmental psychology or related discipline. Applications from those with a ClinPsyD with significant neuropsychological experience would also be considered. Experience of neuropsychological assessment and excellent levels of English are essential. This post is for two years on a full time basis however requests to work on the project at a lower WTE over a longer period would certainly be considered and flexible working is valued in this team. Travel around the UK in the 2nd year of this post is required, as is an enhanced DBS check.
