Job Description

Finance Manager - Insurance - £65,000 plus benefits Day to day responsibilities will include * Manage resources to make journal entries and manage cash for syndicate and managing agency * Develop strong and in-depth understanding of dataflows which support the population of the GL and overall financial reporting * Contribute to improving overall quality and speed of reporting with efficient use of systems and tools * Responsible for preparation of all Finance designated regulatory returns to Lloyd's (and other regulators as required) in accordance with internal and published timetables - including QMA, QMB, QSR, QAD, ASR, AAD and QF1/AF1, and others that arise * Production and coordination of statutory financial returns for all companies under management * Manage the external audit processes and be primary contact point for the auditors * Prepare and submit quarterly US GAAP group consolidation * Responsible for preparation of all relevant tax returns - Syndicate, UK and US/CAD tax and VAT returns * Ad hoc project work relating to TOM and systems The successful candidate must be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years insurance industry, ideally you will have experience of SUN accounting software.
