Commercial Manager Lakenheath NG Bailey are currently seeking an M&E/MEP Commercial Manager to join our project in northern Suffolk. Purpose of the Role In this role you will manage the local commercial team and practices, advising senior management on the commercial risks and opportunities on contracts from tender to completion. Being responsible for the commercial performance of several projects. You will provide commercial support and advice to work winning and other functions as required, and support the Commercial Director in preparing the regional management accounts and contribute to contract reviews. Key Deliverables Health and Safety Comply with the company's Health and Safety standards, ensuring that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities relating to the activities they complete. Risk Management Ensure the accuracy and rationality of all project level risk and opportunity schedules. Manage the implementation of indentified mitigation and enhancement, and report a clear and up to date commercial risk position back to the business. Team Leadership and Engagement Provide leadership for the commercial team in line with company standards and values, working to maximise the potential of both the teams and the individuals within them. Stakeholder Relations Build and maintain high level mutually beneficial customer, key supplier and vendor relationships. Carry out negotiations with our customers, in relation to more preferable contract terms, valuation of works and final account settlement. Business Planning and Budgeting Attend contract reviews and assist with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of costs and values forecast by project teams. Help the Commercial director prepare and update business plans and local management accounts. Team Management Monitor and manage the commercial performance of the projects and the project commercial staff, and ensure they successfully achieve company, division, team and individual objectives. Contract Administration Work with the project commercial team to prepare the commercial plan. Ensure all identified contract obligations, conditions precedent and risks are communicated to, and understood by the project team. Identify the measures necessary to project the company and improve the profitability of contracts. Record Keeping Ensure all necessary records are generated and maintained, in order to maximise NG Bailey's contractual entitlements and justify our position. Including using records to avoid disputes wherever possible and managing any disputes where required. Financial Management Be responsible for the submission of applications for payment and reporting to the finance function how much and when payments are forecast to be received. Ensure cash is received by NG bailey in accordance with the contract. Subcontract Management Manage the on-going commercial aspects of subcontracts including agreement of terms and conditions to ensure close alignment with the obligations undertaken by NG Bailey and the requirements of the Delegated Authorities Matrix. Essential Criteria Significant experience of responsibility for the commercial performance of projects Building services/MEP experience in a construction environment Experience of successfully managing a team Qualifications Relevant BSC/degree/equivalent English & Maths GCSE (desirable)
