Emerging Market Investment Strategy
Overview
Job Description
We are currently seeking to add an individual to our Emerging Markets investment team. The individual will be responsible for tracking holistic developments across Eastern Europe and Latin America. The role is well suited for an individual with a passion for Emerging Markets investment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide macro-economic research assistance and idea generation for Caxtons Emerging Markets portfolio management teams. * Liaise with external resources, including research providers and policy makers. * Monitor events and portfolio impact. * Develop and maintain tracking frameworks of key macro-economic variables, including the evolution and maintenance of internal chart packs. * Evaluate economic indicators leading properties for financial markets. * Identify best and worst-case economic outcomes, as well as their likely probabilities. * Review daily economic releases and events and be able to identify forecast implications. * Execute ad hoc research projects, including new economic models and tracking tools, e.g. inflation trackers for Emerging Market economies. Requirements Experience Required: * 3 years relevant experience required from top ranked financial institution * Proficient in Python (strong preferred) with strong modelling skills. * Experience in economic and global market research with a focus on Emerging Markets * Strong data collection and automation skills. Can build processes to automatically collect and present a large amount of economic time series. * Experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis * Strong verbal and written presentation skills. * Degree in Economics/Econometric, Mathematics or Physics.
