The division provides asset management, wealth management and digitally-empowered retail banking solutions to institutions, high-net-worth investors and consumers globally.GSAM's Emerging Market team is seeking a Corporate Credit Research Analyst to perform fundamental (bottoms-up) analysis on companies in Emerging Europe, Latin America, and China with a focus on the consumer, real estate, utilities, and other industries. The Research Analyst will be responsible for analysing credits, evaluating ESG factors, performing due diligence, modeling and presenting investment ideas; monitoring credits and assessing relative value based on risk vs. return in a range of different portfolio strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL- Analysing issuers via financial modeling, accounting review, covenant analysis, assessment of management's communications, assessment of third-party research, and interacting with management and sell-side analysts, among others- Recommending investments across a range of portfolios (with e.g. different risk appetites, restrictions),defending those recommendations in both oral and written communication- Performing ongoing due diligence and monitoring of portfolio positions and key credits, and communicatingupdates in a timely fashion (orally and in writing)- Evaluating ESG factors- Working with economists on the Emerging Markets team to assess the relevant economic and political risks the companies may face- Working with the Corporate Credit team to identify global relative value and share investment ideas SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above required- Prior experience gained from working within investment banking industry required- Must have CFA or equivalent professional qualification or working towards certification- Significant experience in credit investment analysis of companies in Emerging Europe, Latin America, and China required- Experience of identifying investment opportunities and presenting proposals to stakeholders/clients, pitching required- Knowledge of the consumer, real estate, industrial and utilities industries required- Experience with due-diligence, risk management and regulatory processes, memorandum review and covenant analysis required- Experience of working in an advisory capacity with familiarity of M&A, dividend recapitalisation, refinancing/staple refinancing required- Strong financial modeling (including LBO, projections) and valuation experience required- Exposure to various analytical activities (including case scenario analysis, P&L transaction analysis) required- Solid accounting knowledge and good mathematical/quantitative grounding required- Proficiency with Excel including VBA and familiarity with Bloomberg/Capital IQ/FactSet or related systems required- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)- Fluency in Mandarin (verbal and written) required- Must be a collaborative team player ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
