EEE/EME/EMC Manager Would you like to join our growing Naval Ships business and make an impact on some of the biggest projects in the UK defence market right now? We currently have a vacancy for an EEE/EME/EMC Manager at our site in Filton, Bristol within our Combat Systems team. As an EEE/EME/EMC Manager, you will undertake Electromagnetic Environment Effects (EEE) related tasks whilst supporting the EME team to ensure the EEE design is adequately implemented throughout all products, systems and platforms. Who ensures the safety of Royal Naval personnel when they are ensuring ours? This unique role will provide you with a real challenge and opportunity to work across all Naval Ship platforms including Type26, helping ensure a ship is safe to go to sea and to ensure the safety of the Royal Navy crew. Your main responsibilities as an EEE/EME/EMC Manager will involve partaking and leading the team in: Undertaking Electromagnetics Effects (EME) analysis in support of safety, interoperability, performance and capability validation of an EME aspect Supporting Procurement in reviewing suppliers' responses and discussions with suppliers Carrying out analysis including RADHAZ, Mutual Interference, EMC, Lightning and TEMPEST Answering any queries and updating the design policies to reflect any systematic change Supporting design reviews for all products, systems and platforms Ensuring that the key reports are kept up to date and reported to the Lead on a monthly basis Your skills and qualifications: Essential: HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in Electronic/Electrical Engineering Knowledge of receiver front end design for RADAR and RF based communication systems Good working knowledge of antennas and propagation Experience or an understanding in Topside design, antenna sighting and mutual interference including coverage, RADHAZ, Mutual Interference, exclusion Knowledge of modelling tools and ability to determine when the use of approximate or full field tools is appropriate and the most cost-effective technique Desirable: Knowledge of materials in particular avoidance of galvanic corrosion and passive intermodulation A knowledge and understanding of EEE related UK defence standards (DEF-STAN 59-41 and 59-411) and related US standards (MIL-STD 461) Knowledge of SOLAS Regulations, applicable to sighting of Navigation Radars and Topside lights What we're looking for in you: You will be an excellent communicator with strong influencing and interpersonal skills and an ability to engage and manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will focused in your approach to work and have great attention to detail whilst remaining flexible and adaptable when required.
