Job Description

The position requires good technical understanding for medium and high voltage products, control and protection systems and a genuine interest for the Energy Market (Power Generation, Power Transmission & Distribution, Substations), T&D Utility customers. The role is based in Glasgow and offers an excellent salary of up to £55,000 plus car. The role is 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary) Manage the bid budget Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract award Must be an excellent communicator. You should have MSc / BSc, preferably within Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering Technical experience from the utility business Minimum 3 years of technical tendering experience with a proven track record from similar business. System, Project tenders to the Utility or Energy Market, in the fields of High Voltage Substations / Transmission / Distribution Good technical competence for Medium and High voltage products, such as Circuit breakers, disconnectors etc. Control and Protection competence Very good interpersonal skills Valid Driving Licence Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Confidentiality of sensitive material Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to work individually or as part of a team Supplier and customer focused and Commercial awareness MRR Energy Services specialising in Utilities and Multi Utility Recruitment.
