Job Description

Wood are currently recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer on an agency basis to work in Reading, Berkshire UK. The candidate will be responsible for FEED and Detailed Design of onshore pipelines and associated facilities. Responsibilities extend into providing services + Pipeline route selection + Mechanical design, i.e. wall thickness, stress analysis (CAESAR II experience) and expansion analysis. + Development of material take-offs + Development of material specifications and data sheets + Development of construction and inspection specifications + Preparation of Pipeline EPC scopes of work + Input to EPC schedules and Cost Estimate + Engineering university degree + Chartered engineer status preferred + Previous experience working on the mechanical and civil design of onshore pipeline projects and the project execution strategies associated with pipeline procurement and construction + Proven track record in FEED and detailed design experience + Able to develop pipeline installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance analysis and procedures + Experienced in the use of pipeline software ( AutoCAD, Microstation, CAESAR II) is preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required + Experience in the development of material requisitions and construction scopes of work + Experience working with Middle East clients is an advantage Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
