ChilliConnect, a division of Unity Technologies, are an ambitious team based in Scotland, working out of offices in Dundee and Edinburgh. Our platform provides game developers and publishers with services that make it simple to build and operate live games. We enable engineers to easily add Leaderboards, Cloud Save, Multiplayer and much more to their games in just a few lines of code. We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team, helping us to further grow the ChilliConnect platform. Responsibilities * Lead a team of engineers to design and develop scalable services for live games * Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to engineers in your team * Collaborate across multiple teams in Unity to scope and manage dependencies Requirements * Familiarity with one of Go, Python, PHP, Java, C# or a related language * Knowledge and practical experience of Agile planning methodologies * An interest in developing highly-scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using modern Cloud services * Proven experience leading and mentoring teams Bonus points * Experience of working in high-availability, high-load operational environments * Experience with Ansible/Chef/Puppet or similar * Experience working with AWS, specifically Redshift, DynamoDB and ECS Who We Are Unity is the creator of the world's leading real-time 3D development platform, giving users the most powerful and accessible tools to create, operate, and monetize experiences for the real-time world.
