Job Description

The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Finance Project Specialist. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager/Accountant with sector experience and the ability to move into a project role. This role is ideally based in London, but other existing Save the Children locations can be considered. In this role you will support the embedding and integration of new finance business processes into business as usual (BAU) procedures and processes across our London, regional and country offices. This will include: * Support for the upskilling of finance staff in respect of new initiatives; * Supporting the Senior Finance Project Lead with the management of change control processes; * Making recommendations for process improvements; * Design of and testing of system improvements and process developments; and * The development and application of financial analysis to monitor the business impact of new processes. In order to be successful you will bring: * Demonstrable experience with, and a strong technical understanding of, financial and awards management processes within a large INGO * A strong results orientation and attention to detail; a proven ability to deliver to the highest standards in a fast-paced and complex environment, with high quick turnaround times * A proven ability to work independently and judge when to ask for advice or inputs * An understanding of donor compliance requirements, and eligible costs and reporting requirements of key institutional donors * An excellent level of Agresso/other Financial Management system knowledge and experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to a variety of audiences. * Knowledge / experience of cost allocation in an international NGO setting is helpful The role is available on national terms and conditions. If London based the salary on offer is up to 42Kpa.
