Job Description

What we're looking for: A Commercial Manager within our IT & BPO category which plays a key role in managing supplier risk, and ensuring that the end customer receives excellent service through consistent supplier outcomes. You'll need to have category knowledge and experience working with suppliers in the IT space, whilst managing stakeholders at all levels. Ideally having built your career in a sourcing role, you'll have strong influencing skills coupled with a consultative approach to work with our suppliers and address any commercial issues that arise. Who you'll be working with: Our Procurement function's operating model combines Commercial Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Development into a single centralised function with redefined ways of working to improve the operational efficiency, but also significantly improve the effectiveness of third party engagement to ensure appropriate service and risk management at best value. What you'll be doing: * Working closely with suppliers to access latest innovations, challenge unnecessary business demands, manage contract obligations and measure benefits secured from each supplier. * Developing long term value adding supplier and relationship strategies that are aligned to business and category and supply chain strategies * Leading commercial relationships with suppliers and resolving and mitigating solutions where supplier performance is under expected standards * Contributing to commercial projects (eg. continuous improvement, innovation led initiatives, supply chain collaboration, etc.), bringing innovation from the supply base * Delivering ongoing and increasing benefit to DLG through the effective engagement of suppliers and delivery of initiatives that drive new customer propositions, cost reduction and service improvements What we'll give you: We have a strong focus on developing you and your skill set and work hard to give you the tools to do so.
