Job Description
Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Customs & International Trade Management Level Associate Job Description & Summary The experienced Customs Specialist brings up solutions to specific clients problems and needs, prepares reports, works with databases and legislation, analyses and summarizes information, communicates with clients, colleagues and the state authorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Focusing mainly on the customs agenda and related customs legislation; * Preparing professional reports under the leadership of more experienced and senior staff; * Monitoring changes in the customs legislation and business area; gathering, analyzing and processing data and information in electronic form, checking that data and information, checking and reviewing it for correctness, sharing that information with other team members; this also applies to information acquired in professional training provided by third parties which the employee participated in at the employer's expense; * Communicating with clients, various governmental authorities, higher level staff and other team members in Slovak and English in accordance with the employer's instructions and internal regulations; * Providing support to other staff in completing various tasks related to consultancy and client services; * Performing administrative work in accordance with the instructions of higher level staff; * Performing other tasks upon the request of superiors Employee perks, benefits * Competitive remuneration and attractive benefits * Personal development via internal local and international training programs * A wide range of clients and assignments * A friendly team of experienced professionals Personality requirements and skills * A university degree is taken as an advantage * Excellent spoken and written Slovak/Czech and English min B2 level * Relevant experience with the customs clearance is must (customs declarations, customs regimes, customs IT systems etc.) * Good knowledge of the EU and local customs legislation is a must (Union Customs Code, Slovak Customs Act etc.) * Very good knowledge of the customs classification, origin of goods and customs valuation * Ability to find quick and complex solutions based on the client's needs * Being able to work on international assignments within CEE region * Advantage - knowledge of the excise tax area, VAT and IT * Ability to perform in a rapidly changing multi-task environment * Excellent communication skills * Analytical thinking, enthusiastic and agile personality Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: - min. 1500 brutto based on your experience Zasady ochrany osobnych udajov/Privacy Statement Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified) Degrees/Field of Study required: Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Certifications (if blank, certifications not specified) Desired Languages (If blank, desired languages not specified) Travel Requirements 0% Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?
