The jobholder is responsible for the collection of outstanding inwards Premiums from Lloyds Brokers. Main Tasks * Responsible for chasing Brokers for the collection of outstanding inwards Premiums. * Assist in preparation of weekly reports utilising IRIS mainframe for the Premium which will assist with highlighting priorities by highest debt and agree actions and follow-ups. * Take personal responsibility for outstanding premiums, sends monthly statement to the Brokers and monitors the responses for appropriate action. * Liaise with the Underwriter for the Premium to check the current situation and then take further action with follow up calls to the Broker, if the Underwriter has extended the Warranty Date or SDD then the Underwriter/jobholder updates the system to reflect the change. * Use LIDS (Lloyd's accounting system) and Tracker (which checks where slips are) to identify what has been paid and signed for premiums and line slips. The jobholder monitors and updates the system when premiums have been collected. * Cash matching of the daily signing messages within the IRIS Credit Control system. * Undertake face-to-face meeting with Broker with the intention to resolve issues or problems. * Liaise with the Credit Control Manager regarding best practice and strategies for handling collections, e.g., if the Manager has a strong relationship with the Broker than the jobholder. * Feedback and alert the Credit Control Manager with any relevant market information including any insight to Assured / Broker / Reinsurer going into liquidation or where Brokers are continuously breaking promises to make payments. * Attend the relevant Market meetings/ updates / training sessions held by XIS to enhance knowledge and monitor changes in market premium and settlement procedures. * Maintain an up to date commentary within iris on over 60 day open market premium debt for inclusion in unit pack/management reports. * At all times consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of AXIS with the intention of improving their experience. * All Employees must endeavour to provide accurate, complete and appropriate data, in accordance with the AXIS Data Policy, as part of their roles and responsibilities at all times. * Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures. * Take on ad-hoc duties due to the integration process.
