We are a family business with Scottish roots. We operate from our modern head office in Edinburgh to our Marketing Technologies Division in Staffordshire, or our Innovation Centre in Abingdon and hotel management solutions base in Cardiff. As a dynamic and motivated Business Analyst, you will join a team working on multiple products across our core business areas. What you?ll do + Define and manage business and systems requirements + Define original scope, and manage subsequent changes to scope and ensure correct level of challenge to the business' requirements + Create and maintain project related documents including scope documents and BRD?s. + Organise and lead project and technical meetings where appropriate. + Work closely with the Senior Business Analyst and development team to ensure appropriate communication and dependencies are managed effectively. + Serve as a bridge between technical staff and Product Manager + Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on design options and manage associated risks. + Responsible for communicating and documenting end-user functionality including conducting workshops, demo?s, creating User Guides and New Features Guides + Assist the business to produce solutions using existing where requirements cannot be met fully. Who you are + Knowledgeable in the use of Project Management tools and techniques and when to apply them. + Have experience of working in both Agile and Waterfall environments. + Comfortable working with Software Development Teams + Have strong influencing skills with demonstrable experience of managing stakeholders across the business and functions at varying levels of seniority. + Decisive with a balanced understanding of the best interest of the product and the best interest of the business ? equally you will know when to escalate and when to negotiate and influence others. + Have excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills. + Knowledgeable and have practical experience of process mapping, improvement and optimisation. + Knowledgeable and have practical experience in eliciting both functional and non-functional requirements. + Experienced in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. + Experience of end-to-end project life-cycle including delivery of end-goals. + Have a high level of business acumen and ability to both quickly acquire a deep understanding of user needs and how these may be best satisfied. + Have strong interpersonal skills, proactive, self-motivated, logical and objective. Desirable + Knowledge of EPOS systems and/or hospitality industry would be an advantage. + Use of UML modelling techniques + Has commercial acumen when making decisions regarding functionality and supporting.
