Job Description

Responsible for providing financial and management services to ensure an efficient, accurate and timely financial and management accounting function. Overall responsibility for all EMEA talent divisions, supporting the monthly financial close and reporting process alongside the budgeting and forecasting process for the talent divisions. Provide a high level of service to the Wasserman business and clients. * Management of EMEA Talent accounting operations covering all talent divisions (Football, Golf, Action Sports and Basketball). Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the talent divisions. * Follow structured monthly close and reconciliation review process in order to complete a month-end close within five business days. * Preparation of monthly management reporting adhering to month end deadlines. * Review and approval of monthly Agent commission statements. * Preparation of annual budgets and monthly P&L forecasts adhering to deadlines. * Assist with cash flow forecasting and cash requirements of the talent divisions. * Monitor and review investments in subsidiaries and associates including assessment for indicators of impairment. * Communication of financial performance to division leads, provision insightful information to aid short-term and long-term decision making. * Manage relationships with third party accountants and financial advisors. * Assists with year-end financial and other audits, preparing and maintaining supporting schedules. * Manages accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establish robust financial controls and align to group accounting policies. * Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner. * Management of accounting staff to ensure deadlines are met, records are accurate and controls remain intact. * Promotes a supportive team environment and provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training. Monitors and analyzes team work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. * Identify potential process efficiencies & contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture. * Ad hoc tasks and projects as required. The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required. Requirements Essential: * 5+ years PQE with a recognised UK professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or overseas equivalent or demonstrate expertise in a similar role * Demonstrable success in a senior accounting role with International affiliate experience * Minimum of 7+ years in accounting roles with a minimum of 3+ years at management accountant level * Experience of managing and supervising an accounting team, including setting objectives and conducting annual appraisals * Ability to multi-task effectively without losing quality. Tenacious, persistent and highly motivated with advanced organisational, analytical and people management skills * Experience working in a multi-national company * Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel.
