Job Description
What are we looking for? Due to a crucial new project within our organisation, we have a fantastic opportunity for a strong and motivated Procurement Buyer to join our site in Motherwell immediately on an 18-month fixed term contract. We are looking someone who has previous experience of working within a buying or procurement environment within the manufacturing, or industrial arena and comfortable leading a small team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an organization where no 2 days are the same with a great opportunity for job satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Direct buying * Following the daily req report to understand what purchasing is required * Placing orders within an appropriate timeline * Cross functional interaction will be required * Buying within the correct timeline to facilitate the production timeline * Exercising diligence across the production timeline, escalating to the production team where appropriate * Negotiating with suppliers * Reconciliation * Attending daily tier meetings to discuss and plan priorities
