User Researcher - SC Clearance Required

Job Description
We are currently recruiting a User Researcher to join our team on site near Bath. Please be aware this role is requires current SC Clearance Cluster 4. Unfortunately at this time, no other SC clearance can be accepted. * Work in an agile, collaborative, multidisciplinary team * Provide insights on the users behaviour, motivations and end goals that will inform the design decisions made throughout the projects progress * Understand the strategic objectives of your client and how the insights will help them * Work to a high level of ethical and professional standards * Negotiate with the project team to ensure that user research makes a valuable contribution to a project and that user insights are acted upon * Support usability evaluation sessions in the laboratory or remotely * Use a range of tools to collect data, and write usability reports supported by the evidence, such as video, graphs, tables and pictures * Build great relationships with your team and stakeholders * Run workshops with your team and with stakeholders * Advocate for user-centred design * Work with the hippo research community to share best practice to ensure high standards Please be aware this role is site based 4 days a week (1 day remotely) and requires full security clearance Requirements * experience of defining research questions and objectives * experience of using different methods to achieve insights (both qualitative and quantitative) for example sampling, questionnaire design and analysis, interviews, ethnographic observations, facilitating workshops, focus groups and other types of group discussion, and managing stakeholder engagement sessions * experience of designing your research and proposals, ensuring the research design closely maps to the research objectives * understand user centred design principles and practices * enjoy working collaboratively with your team and experts * be comfortable working in rapid sprint cycles * be happy to sell the benefits of user research to people who arent familiar with the discipline * have a positive can do attitude * have great consultancy skills, caring about your clients needs and motivations * enjoy sharing your skills and experience with your client to enable them to continue to iterate and improve their product or service after you leave Please be aware this role is requires current SC Clearance Cluster 4.
