Job Description

This role will report in to the COO and form part of the Business Operations department. The focus will be on developing presentations and business models/plans for transactions within the group. This role will assist with and help coordinate the early stage process for all JV's and financing that fall outside of the usual debt financings that we do as well as developing early stage business concepts. A significant portion of the day will be on preparing investment presentations and investment teasers. There will be dozens of unsuccessful pitch decks prepared for every successful one and the majority of this role will be spent on preparing and researching presentations and models. Transaction types will include traditional shipping transactions but will also extend to setting up new business plans and materials for new businesses within the group. Many of these will be unrelated to shipping and the role will be administratively heavy. ESSENTIAL SKILLS 1. Financial modelling 2. Advanced PowerPoint 3. Good eye for design and an interest in design 4. Clear communication 5. Eye for detail including grammar and spelling 6. Highly organised with effective time management 7. Comfortable with technology and systems oriented PREFERED SKILLS * Familiarity with photoshop and InDesign * Familiarity with web design and presentation * Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools * Experience with Microsoft products including SharePoint, Outlook, planner/projects etc. QUALITIES * Must be able to demonstrate grit/motivation and perseverance. This doesn't have to be evidenced by time in a career but may be demonstrated through extracurricular pursuits. * Comfortable working in a fast passed office with very direct feedback method. * Enquiring mind and a self-starter. Able to pick up new problems without coaching. * Interested in learning and developing a core skill set rather than necessarily becoming an expert in one area. Apply for this Job
