You'll also learn from experienced people who share a passion for working together with our clients to deliver technical excellence We are looking for a Civil Engineer to help us grow our team of experts in our Bristol office. The successful candidates will help deliver a broad range of water environment services for some of the most significant projects in the UK. We actively encourage membership of professional institutions and we will ensure that you have the right support as your career develops. As a Civil Engineer you'll be working with clients and on projects throughout the UK with a focus on non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects. A typical week would include: * Assisting with the development of fee bids, workplans and programmes for prospective new work * Assisting the Project Mnager in agreeing the project brief, deliverables, key milestones, project monitoring, quality assurance and control strategy * Undertake feasibility, outline and detailed design of civil engineering projects to acheive teh optimum solution for the project * Undertaking significant elements of the detailed design and the checking of outputs as directed * Providing technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others * Working in close collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplinary team, sharing ideas and communicating to form a united design solution We are committed to finding the right candidates for this position and would consider flexible working for the right individual whose ambitions align with our values. We'd love to hear from you if you have: * Commercial experience, including project management and bid preparation. * Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. * Knowledge and experience of either water or wastewater non-infrastructure design * An understanding of the basics and the integration of multidisciplinary elements including process engineering and MEICA. * Have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, and contract administration. * Drive and ability to build client relationships and develop suitable opportunities.
