Join us in this new role as an Information Services Field Engineer, key in the development of Brandon Trust's digital future. You'll be part of our Service Desk support team as a field operative for our operational services covering all our regions. It is an exciting time to join Brandon as we progress cloud technologies and our transformation to a digital first approach. Brandon exists to enable children, young people and adults with a learning disability, autism or both, to live life in the way they choose. We provide high-quality, individualised support to around 1,600 people and have a staff team of over 2,000. Operating across southern England and London, support is provided by a widely dispersed workforce, including public spaces and the homes of the people we support. This is a field based role, you'll be visiting services, offices and other sites. Initially you'll join the service desk team providing IS support based at home. Then when the coronavirus restrictions are lifted you will start in the field covering one of the following regions. + Areas 1, 2 and 3 (Gloucester, Oxfordshire with some visits to London) + Areas 4, 5 and 6 (Somerset, Devon and Cornwall with some visits to Bristol) In both regions you'll be based at your local Brandon patch office. You'll provide 1st and 2nd line support to operational staff across Brandon, helping to find resolutions to their IT enquires. As member of Brandon's IS team, you'll help manage our core services and products that our business functions utilise. You'll deliver training and workshops to enable the staff you support to use digital technology, inspiring confidence in them to adopt the new platforms. You'll be able to recognise local trends and potential issues and to highlight and escalate them accordingly. You will also provide input to future development and implementation projects, representing Brandon Trust staff needs to adopt a digital-first approach. You'll have a can-do attitude in supporting technology and systems at Brandon. With a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act (2018), ITIL methodology, Local Area Networking and Windows products, with specific interest in cloud technologies. With excellent interpersonal skills to enable the staff you support to feel comfortable and confident in adopting technical products and services. You'll be confident in delivering remote support, triaging the calls which come in and being able to prioritise your workload. You'll be flexible, willing and able to travel across Brandon sites.
