Job Description
Opportunity for a field service engineer or electrical maintenance technician to join an established business who have shown consistent growth over the last 15 years and are an authorised provider for a world-leading OEM industrial equipment manufacturer. They service a wide range of customers including leading blue-chip companies and household names within their fields. The organisation's culture is friendly and there is a history of long service within the current engineering team. The client is open to applications from existing field service engineers or electrical maintenance technicians / engineers from a manufacturing background who wish to move into a field service engineering position. As the field service engineer, you will mainly cover the South Wales and South West of England. You will provide support for OEM equipment to a range of blue-chip companies across the manufacturing, water and power industries. Your duties as an electrical maintenance technician will include: * Commissioning, installation, fault finding and repair of drives on customer sites * Undertaking preventative maintenance on drives * Repairing and servicing drives in the onsite workshop * Being part of a call out rota, 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks To apply for the field service engineer role, you will need: * A time served electrical apprenticeship gained within an industrial or manufacturing environment * Proven electrical fault finding and repair skills * Effective communication skills * Good general IT skills, including Microsoft Office. In return, the field service engineer will receive a salary of £30,000-£35,000 (dependent on experience), a call-out allowance of £2,400 annually, company van, potential bonus, 5% pension contribution, private medical cover, mobile phone and laptop.
