Job Description

Our Account Executives are responsible for selling Aivens Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) platform to senior level executives and key decision makers. This involves developing relationships with executive and technical contacts across an organisation. You will be responsible for challenging customers current way of working, demonstrating how Aivens open source managed data services effectively and efficiently allow software development teams to drastically improve time to market while keeping costs in line with budget expectations. Successful candidates must develop a strong understanding of the Aiven solution, competitive and political landscape, as well as the partner ecosystem in their region. Your success will come from * Open new accounts by identifying and qualifying prospects and at the same time increasing the revenue with existing customers * Work with Solution Architects and Business Development Representatives collaboratively to maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities sufficient to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets * Accurate and predictable forecasting of business by successfully managing the sales processes * Closing sales opportunities utilising superior presentation and negotiation skills * Experience and a strong confidence in presenting and closing business at VP and C-Level * Developing proposals, responding to RFPs and conducting sales presentations for prospective customers Requirements * 5+ years of enterprise class software sales experience; selling complex solutions * Consistent track record of overachievement against revenue targets * Successful in a team setting * Experience with Cloud, SaaS (preferred), or DevOps * Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline growth via prospecting * History selling to Development and/or Product Organizations Benefits * A dynamic startup environment with a unique culture being headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, and a rapidly growing, international business * A simple and highly rewarding commission plan with amazing accelerators supporting you to go through the roof ...or touch the sky you name it !! * High degree of autonomy * Working with international, highly engaged colleagues * Flat hierarchy and open communication * Getting things done attitude * Find a career path.
