Job Description

Chief Data Office (CDO) is a critical division of Citi's Enterprise Infrastructure, Operations & Technology (EIO&T) organization. The CDO is taking the lead in the delivery of Citi's Strategic Data program which will encompass significant changes with a number of large multi-year, cross functional programs. The Business Architecture team seeks to create and help implement an agreed end-state vision of Citi's business, data and application architecture. It uses a process driven approach to define how capabilities are bounded, placed, deployed, shared, connected and operated to meet business objectives We are looking for senior individuals with experience in: + Understanding, defining and communicating the macro architecture of a large bank + Shaping solutions to meet the strategic ambitions of the bank in the context of an overall architecture. + Managing and leading virtual teams and initiatives + Building relationships with senior Business and Technology counterparts The incumbent will work with colleagues in business and technology groups to help shape, define and implement capabilities that help meet business objectives in the context of an agreed architecture. The role is focused on driving delivery and as such, will suit hands-on delivery-focused professionals regardless of background in business, global functions or technology Key responsibilities will include work in the following areas: + Development of the Target Architecture + Communicating the Target Architecture + Applying ongoing updates to the Architecture to keep it current with changing business and economic environments, and regulatory frameworks Providing Architecture support for Strategic Initiatives + Performing Architectural Reviews + Engaging in Technology Spend Review & Prioritization General Activities: + Partner with global process owners, program/project teams and functional groups (Front-office, Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, Global Program Management Office (GPMO), to deliver objectives in compliance with Citi policies and standards + Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including program sponsors and program leads + Execute against multiple contending priorities simultaneously Qualifications: + 15+ years' experience, in the financial services industry is required, + Experience in one or more areas in banking including Operations, Finance and Risk + Process reengineering and process mapping experience preferred, along with a proven track record of successfully leading complex and transformative projects. + Good understanding of data and data concepts including data standards, data quality and data models. + Excellent communication skills required including ability to synthesize key messages and "storytell" + Developed diplomacy skills are required in order to negotiate often at a senior level, and to guide, influence and convince others + Confidence in providing authoritative architectural advice to business and technology colleagues + Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail. + Strong attention to detail and willingness to "roll up sleeves". + Need for 'intellectual curiosity', critical thinking skills and ability to challenge 'group think'. + Bachelor's degree required ----- Grade : ----- Time Type : ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
