For all of our roles, we are open to candidates from a number of backgrounds, including experience with top start-ups, management consulting, operations, and other related functions or industries. In the this role, you will be the SCRUM Master for multiple squads that are developing and launching new brands and part of a global community of SCRUM Masters within ZX and ABI. Our key goal and strategy is to have agile and SCRUM processes adopted by teams and squads, across all areas of businesses not just engineering. The role is based within our Global eCommerce group that works out of our London office. You will support 3-4 portfolio companies in the European region, to adopt and scale their agile methodologies. Key Pillars of the role: Mentoring Acting as a mentor, the Agile Coach is responsible for guiding teams into the Agile methodology, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalysing organisational growth and answering questions. They provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement. Develop Agile Adoption Strategy The Agile Coach is responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement. Implement Agile Methodology This task entails implementing Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organization. The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation. In order to do this, the Agile Coach must also embody the Agile principles and lead by example. **The role is a consulting opportunity with the possibility of being converted to full-time employment. Key Responsibilities * Effectively communicate agile principles, SCRUM practices and overall operating model and build trust with key stakeholders * Assist the team in assessing and evolving their 'Agile and SCRUM Maturity' and developing a programme for progression of each company and individual squad * Educate and evangelise regular SCRUM ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily-Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective * Foster agile best practices and a culture of relentless improvement among the SCRUM team * Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across the product team particularly around success metrics on the product development * Daily follow-ups with individual team members to remove impediments/blockers for the SCRUM team. * Assist the Product Owners to make sure the product backlogs are in always being groomed and ready for the next sprint * Protect SCRUM teams and maintain focus on backlog and sprint timeline * Work with management to escalate problems encountered on/among SCRUM team as necessary; help remove impediments to progress SOUND INTERESTING TO YOU? You'll be on a small team with significant responsibilities and will need to be comfortable working - and delivering - in an unstructured, fluid environment. * You will demonstrate a high level of knowledge of agile processes and the SCRUM Master's role in them, driving team improvements and operating excellence while sharing agile best practices * You will have excellent skills in facilitation and assessing, understanding, and navigating team dynamics towards building and maintaining a high-performance team * You are a solid communicator who can motivate and coordinate across different levels and geographies. * You have a hands-on attitude and can shift quickly between driving strategy, running large-scale projects, coordinating operational processes and managing a crisis when needed.
