Finance Controller/Manager - Luxury 5* Boutique Hotel The LaLit Suri Hospitality Group, headquartered in New Delhi, is India's largest and the fastest growing privately owned Hotel Company. The company offers a portfolio of 13 Luxury hotels, palaces and resorts spread across Indian sub-continent. The 180-year-old neo baroque edifice, which once housed the erstwhile St. Olave's Grammar School, is now unveiled as The LaLiT London. The luxury boutique hotel features 70 beautifully designed rooms, each ornamented with custom-made art- combining Indian culture with a quintessential British charm. We are currently seeking a Finance Controller/Manager to join our dedicated Finance department. Your New Role The Financial Controller is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the company. You will be predominantly responsible for assisting in performing administration accounts department procedures: registering house invoices, maintaining ledger bookkeeping entries, reconciling accounts according to hotel schedules and forwarding financial analyses to appropriate recipients Main Duties: * Preparation of weekly sales and banking report and submission to head office * Review of guest and city ledger and chasing of all debt on a timely basis * Ensure HOD's complete their departmental forecast at least 1 week prior to month commencing and transfer this onto the excel document for the GM * Ensure credit checks are completed correctly and as per company standards * Input sales and settlements onto business done file and ensure all daily ledgers balance to Opera trial balance ledgers * Payroll tracking, inputting and submission to Head Office * Deal with suppliers queries re unpaid invoices, checking on PLS, our purchase ledger system spreadsheet. Re date we have sent up to Head Office and updated from HO re payment * Attend daily 10 O'clock Meeting giving update on week's sales and stats and deal with any Finance issues arisen from the meeting or from GMs request. Obtain GM's signature re invoices to be paid * Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be requested by management that pertains to the total operation, from time to time What you will need to succeed Previous experience as a Finance Controller from a luxury 4/5* hotel Excellent understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping Fluent in written & verbal English language Strong interpersonal & communication skills Great team worker and leader Ability to work under pressure Pride and attention to detail in your work Methodological and Numerical ability Flexible attitude What's on offer 28 paid holidays per annum Competitive salary Complimentary dry cleaning of business attire/uniform Discounted Food and Beverage and accommodation rates Complimentary meals on duty Learning and development programs Varied Employee Social Calendar Eligibility In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
