Job Description
Mechanical Design Manager Norwich £45,000 - £50,000 This Engineering Company specialise in the design & manufacture of special purpose machinery and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Manager to join their dynamic team to support current & future growth. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in Engineering and gain hands-on management experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. Based within the Research & Development team, you ll be working closely with several parts of the business, with the ultimate goal of providing their customers with the best engineered solution possible. This exciting position also offers opportunity to progress within the business. Responsibilities * Lead the Mechanical Engineering team ensuring efficient use of resources to maximise output * Manage department workload and make sure this is evenly spread across the team * Mentor the Drawing office to improve and maintain performance * Play an active role in updating department drawings to 3D * Aid other departments where required * Attend internal & external commercial and technical meetings Requirements * Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (HND/HNC also considered) * Have relevant experience working within a manufacturing environment * Be able to prioritise workloads efficiently * Be good with people of differing levels You can be rest assured that this job is certainly going to engage your creative side and passion for Engineering, learning off other bright dynamic individuals, working with cool technology on a number of different projects that will stretch your abilities and really challenge your engineering mind.
