Building Services Engineer (Mechanical Bias) East Anglia Circa £32,000 You have the opportunity to work for one of the leading facilities management companies in the World. They specialise in providing mechanical and electrical building services, building fabrics repair and soft services to multiple sectors inclusive of commercial offices, education, critical environments, retail sites, shopping centres, local authorities, distribution and logistics, manufactures. The Role: Our client has recently acquired a new healthcare sector facilities management contract in the East Anglia area. They are currently looking to recruit a mobile building services engineer with a mechanical background to cover planned and reactive maintenance in various hospitals, health centres and offices. Building Services Engineer - Typical Duties: Fault find and carry out repairs on all mechanical building systems and equipment Carry out all PPMs and reactive tasks as necessary to onsite mechanical systems and specialist equipment. Ensure the site's logbook is kept up to date, and all losses, recoveries and additions are recorded appropriately. Be responsible for the maintenance and operational upkeep of portable and fixed equipment. Plan, oversee and work with all subcontractors during service visits associated with mechanical and electrical systems. Ensure that PPM and Reactive jobs are processed, and defects are diagnosed, and faults are repaired and testing. Responsibilities will also include being a member of the on-call rota for the contract. Tasks will be allocated using a PDA, so all activities must be recorded and logged in real time Undertake any other engineering or maintenance tasks as required by the Help Desk, Area Supervisor, or Line Manager (Building fabric maintenance: basic carpentry, plastering etc) Requirements for the Building Services Engineer role: Experience: Previous experience in a similar FM maintenance role Previous experience working in a healthcare environment Experienced with planned and reactive maintenance Experienced working in the commercial sector Qualifications: NVQ /C&G level 3 in Mechanical Engineering/ Plumbing or equivalent ACS Gas Safe (Not Essential) C&G F-Gas (Not Essential) C&G 17 th /18 th Edition (Not Essential) Building Services Engineer Package Salary: Circa £32,000 25 days Holiday plus statutory Company van, fuels card, tools, uniform Paid travel time Company benefits Unlimited budget for further training and development If you are interested in this position please apply with your updated CV or call Jak Walsh on This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89633978
